mission support
Mission support is the portion of financial offerings from members of the ELCA that is shared for synodical and churchwide mission and ministries beyond the local congregation. Mission support helps to fund ministry partners both domestically and around the world including campus ministry, several social organizations, missionaries across the globe, colleges, universities and seminaries of our church, and outdoor camping ministries, just to name a few. These offerings provide over 80 percent of the resources that are used to fund ministries that we do together within the ELCA.

global mission
The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) emphasizes God's call to us to share the good news of Jesus Christ in word and deed. "Global mission" refers to the ways we respond to God’s call to mission beyond our local congregations. We reach out to others through evangelism, witness, education, promotion of justice, service, relief and development across the globe.
