For decades outdoor ministry has been one of the three most influential ministries of the ELCA for the faith formation of young people. The Northwest Synod of Wisconsin holds 5 of the 120 outdoor ministry sites across the ELCA. These spaces welcome young people and families to explore their faith, build relationships, develop confidence/courage/curiosity, and experience nature simultaneously!
Outdoor ministry is also one of the largest young adult ministries in the ELCA as they serve in staff and leadership positions in year-round and seasonal positions within these camps.
