Sexism is alive and well in the church
This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the ordination of the first woman pastor so you would think that acceptance of female clergy is universal in the ELCA. Not necessarily. Many women pastors still face discrimination and harassment. Join us for this session and find out ways that you can support women pastors in the fight against sexism.
Presenter: Diane HOuse
Rev. Diane House has been an ordained Word and Sacrament minister in the ELCA for thirteen years. In that time she has served three different congregations in the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin. She has also served as an advisory council member for the Lutheran Office of Public Policy in Wisconsin and currently serves on the Northwest Synod's Justice Task Force.
