CURDS FOR KIDS, HELPING FARMERS, HELPING FAMILIES

Local kids were hungry. Local farmers were dumping milk because COVID-19 had interrupted their markets. This is our story of how Peace Lutheran of Pigeon Falls left the building to help!  Pictures, conversation and the short video of the Mike Rowe Show, followed by Q & A

Presenter: Mary Ann Bowman

With: Beth Stay & Jackie Goplin

With the help of Pastor Mary Ann, Beth Stay partnered with Jackie Goplin and created the Curds for Kids program. Beth and Jackie are both educators in the Arcadia and Whitehall School Districts respectively. Jackie lives on a 6 generation dairy farm in rural Pigeon Falls, Wisconsin where her husband and her son milk a herd of holstein cattle. Both Beth and Jackie feel a connection to the surrounding communities and the dairy farming heritage.
